The White Helmets aren't happy about their Oscar win for a very important reason

Netflix lastly won an Oscar for the 40-minute documentary The White Helmets, though the director, Syrian cinematographer Khaled Khatib, was reportedly denied entry to the U.S. on the final minute. 

The White Helmets, which is streaming on Netflix, is a harrowing take a look at the Syria Civil Protection, a gaggle of abnormal Syrians who work tirelessly to rescue civilians affected by the civil warfare and extract individuals from the rubble. 

The group, which was additionally nominated for a Nobel Prize in 2016, issued a press release by which the founder, Raed Saleh, says the movie "helped present the world what is occurring in Syria:"

Nevertheless, he added that the group is "not comfortable to do what we do". 

"We abhor the truth we stay in. What we would like is not help to proceed, however moderately help to finish this work. We hope this movie and the eye helps transfer the world to behave to cease the bloodshed in Syria," he stated.
